Professional Biography
of
Norm E. Easley, N.D., D.C., C.Ac.
Dr. Norm Easley has been involved in nutritional and clinical
research for over 38 years and has been actively engaged in a
research-oriented clinical practice for over 33 years. The purpose
of his research has been to identify and understand the core cause
of disease and degeneration, the most reliable techniques for
evaluating them, and to isolate the most effective treatments in
order to produce consistency in healing. Dr. Easley’s ultimate goal
is to organize these findings into an optimum computer program that
can systematically identify each individual’s “autonomic map” which
directs them to perfect health. In addition, any physician
interested in applying the techniques discovered will be able to
utilize this system and consistently achieve the same effective
results.
Over the years, Dr. Easley’s findings have refined a theory that
identifies genetically-determined disorders of neurological,
circulatory, endocrine, organ, and digestive functions as direct
disease pathways.
Each inherent weakness forces the body to
compensate by increasing the activity of an associated organ in an
effort to maintain homeostasis. These primary disorders and
compensations demand an increased supply of specific nutrient
patterns characteristic to the dysfunction. When these nutrients are
not made available, biological stress develops in the associated
organs. This stress ultimately causes distinguishing symptoms
interpreted as “disease”. Most notably, Dr. Easley has identified
the resulting effect on the psychology of the individual. Each
disorder produces a characteristic pattern of emotional or mental
discord. These can include fear, anger, self doubt, etc. For
example, a deficient pancreas glucagon production causes symptoms of
hypoglycemia between meals. This is psychologically characterized by
an inability to stay focused which leads to doubt regarding one’s
mental abilities. Dr. Easley can further identify individual
psychology patterns through the body’s compensation network. If the
sympathetic nervous system is the compensating function for the
pancreatic hypoglycemia then increased emotional sensitivity,
excessive reactivity to environmental stimuli, anxiety and confusion
add to the symptom pattern. In order to treat all of these patterns,
it is necessary to identify the original disorders and treat them at
the source.
Dr. Easley has found that treating the primary disorder heals the
body and the mind. As the body heals, the compensation network is no
longer required and eventually returns to a normal level of
activity. Gradually, the symptoms recede resulting in an increase in
body efficiency and a decrease in psychological limitations. As the
psyche improves, the individual begins to notice their life becomes
easier and more productive It is important to note that through the
treatment process patients become more and more self empowered
because they are no longer victims of their psychological and
physical weaknesses.
The reliability and consistency of identification and treatment
programs make it easy to duplicate successful results from patient
to patient. This creates a unique opportunity to record the numerous
patterns and relationships into an Artificial Intelligence computer
system that can be used as an effective tool for diagnosis, and
recommended treatments.
From 1992-1998 the diagnostic computer program called MediPoint was
developed by Dr. Easley and software engineer, Thomas R. Sawyer. This
program is essentially a computerized model of the human body with an
established hierarchy of disease management. Using MediPoint the
patient’s body can actually ‘talk’ to the physician. Through the
advanced application of electronic tools or specialized muscle-testing
techniques, MediPoint interfaces with the patient’s body enabling a
systematic unfolding of the primary disorders. The patient’s autonomic
nervous system is then able to direct the physician along a strictly
linear process to the exact sequence of treatments necessary to restore
the patient to health. The computer program enables the body to tell
the physician exactly what it needs in order to heal.
Dr. Easley and several other practitioners use MediPoint in their
health practices today. It is an amazing system that achieves
consistent results. But with today’s technology, Dr. Easley’s vision
is to put all of his information into an interface that is optimum.
Dr. Easley has patients from all over the world and all walks of
life.
